Several weeks before Vi & Jerry celebrated their wedding at the Stone House at Stirling Ridge’s new event space, we had one final phone meeting with the soon-to-be husband-and-wife, where we discussed the day’s itinerary, Jerry’s affection for fish (which is only trumped by his affection for Vi), as well as bubblegum for everyone after the ceremony. “Huh? What?” That was my reaction too, which explains my newfound appreciation for emails over phone communication (because I’m apparently aging, my hearing’ shot, despite my refusal to acknowledge such a silly notion such as “aging….psh”). Was there a new bubblegum trend of which I was not aware? Did I need to start scouring wedding style blogs again? Turns out, it was none of the above. The bride was handing out bubble guns at the end of the ceremony, and I was clearly going delusional. The busy-ness of a typical wedding season will do that to you :).
