I first met Mike when I was shooting his sister’s engagement session a few years ago. At that point, I’d never been to Long Beach Island before (which seems to be the consensus on the bride’s side of the family as well), but I’ve since had the pleasure of coming back more times than I can feasibly count. During our many trips to Long Beach Island, we’d go over a long bridge and see this magnificent building sitting on the water. Karis and I both remarked how beautiful the Mallard Island Yacht Club was, and how awesome it would be to shoot there one day.
Well…that day had finally come.
Annika & Mike’s wedding at the Mallard Island Yacht Club was easily one of the most gorgeous weddings we’d ever had the pleasure of documenting. Throw in some beautiful details, delicious food and some familiar faces, and now we’ve got ourselves quite a celebration :). My only regret is that I didn’t get to document one of my favorite things about this wedding: the miniature Jamaican beef patties. SERIOUSLY…WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!!?
