When I was approached by Aimee to capture her and three of her closest friends for her birthday weekend, I was overcome with conflicting emotions: while I had the opportunity to have four lovely ladies posing in front of my camera, I was somewhat at a loss with how I was going to pose these four ladies without seeming too Sex and the City-ish, or resorting to Charlie’s Angels poses (don’t lie, I know you know which one I’m talking about!). As I’ve known Aimee for the better part of the decade, there’s no hiding my inner-dork that she knows quite well, one trait that I work oh-so-diligently to suppress in the company of strangers and clients whom I’ve never met. Thankfully, I’d also met the other three ladies at one point or another, which kinda gives me free license to unleash my staggeringly awesome humor. And of course, I brought my wife along to keep that in check as well :).

But as it turned out, they didn’t need much prodding in the first place.

And having my wife along helps :).

As I had mentioned earlier, it takes true dedication to wear white and roll around on the ground like I do :).

I don’t think these ladies stopped laughing for the entire duration of our shoot. I only wish I were that amusing.

Or it could be because I made them do silly things all day.

Definitely the latter. Definitely :).

Ladies, it was an absolute pleasure spending the weekend with you! I hope you guys had fun getting into trouble with me, and I hope you guys enjoy these photos as much as I did capturing them. Thankfully, I never had to break out my secret-weapon pose, which was a modified Charlie’s Angel’s pose with Borat facial expressions. I just may have to save that one for our next session :).
