Elizabeth & Erik origin story is one of the most fascinating that I’ve ever heard. Long story short, these two were set up by a friend/family member – not knowing that they had already been neighbors for a reasonably lengthy amount of time. Despite the fact they even lived on the same block, these two had never met, never passed each other in the supermarket, nor even seen each other at the local laundromat. How is that even possible? Of course, Washington DC is a city of 672,000 residents, which swells to over 1,000,000 on most workdays – so it’s quite conceivable one could miss his/her soulmate while carrying about a busy life, even though that future life-partner may be living right under his/her very nose. But in spite of these odds, Elizabeth & Erik still managed to find one another, fair and square. We kicked off their engagement session precisely where they kicked off their their first date, at the Marx Cafe – followed by a stroll in their old neighborhood. We wrapped up their DC engagement session at the National Mall, just in time for sunset. Perfect timing, as always :).
