Rowie and I both attended the same university, and even worked together briefly in the “awesome” world of financial services (and I use that term “awesome” VERY loosely). Though I had always known about Justin, we’ve never had many opportunities to cross paths…or so I thought. Come to find out, Justin and I used to work together waiting tables at a retirement village when we were young, sprightly and impressionable adolescents who thought $4.15/hr (BEFORE taxes!) was one helluva good deal :). Fast-forward almost a decade later, they’ve become engaged. And where would I learn this information? At a Megabus bus stop, of course. I mean, duh – isn’t that where all the cool college reunions take place?

So after exchanging pleasantries along with our new contact information, we made tentative plans to get them in front of my camera sometime in the future. Well, that day came, sure enough. As far as our starting location went, we had a choice between either of their apartments. We I ended up choosing the one that was closer to the ground – mainly because I had already decided (as usual) that we were going out onto their fire escape (despite the fact I’m so abso-friggin-lutely afraid of heights). Rowie then reveals to me that they’d never been out on her fire escape before. But of course I was going to be the one to change that :).

According to my wife, these two are probably the cutest couple we’ve ever worked with.
For the record, a man can’t call another man cute, regardless of context :).

Unadorned walls, like this one in NoLIta/NoHo, are hard to come by. It was just screaming to be photographed in front of.

Believe it or not, we’ve only scratched the surface :).
