While a vast majority of our Central Park engagement sessions take place below 79th Street, we always welcome any opportunities to hang around those quieter neighborhoods further uptown. Carly and Chris wanted exactly that – just something off the beaten path, a little less busy, and a little more “them”. During our 5-mile “stroll” along some of the most lush and scenic scapes that Central Park has to offer, we encountered a family of Italian tourists who were curious about what we were doing, inquiring about my camera gear and all the doodads I had brought along with me. Despite none of us actually speaking proper Italian, we were all pretty sure he was mistranslating our conversation to his travel companions. Such is the mentality of your typical New Yorker (or New Jerseyan, for that matter). But I digress :). Carly & Chris are one of the many Penn State Alumni who’ve graced the front of my camera over the years – despite the fact that my alma mater and theirs compete in the same athletic conference (Go Terps!). No hard feelings, promise :).
