Believe it or not, I actually had reservations about shooting on New Years Eve. In 2011 alone, we’ve missed Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays and Thanksgiving because of work (I might also have to add that I have the most awesome wife ON THE PLANET!); so how does New Years stack up against all those other major dates? Obviously not very high :). We’ve been very blessed this past year, and you just don’t shut the door on these blessings when they come knocking on the door.
This just means we need a bigger door :).
Anyways, back to weddings and wineries: two of my favorite things! Due to my busy schedule, I don’t get many opportunities to assist my fellow photographers (even if the photographer happens to be my brother!). But due to the perfect confluence of the right kind of client with the perfect location and perfect timing, I found myself packing up my gear and hopping on a plane to be 3000 miles away from home shortly after Christmas (we DID spend Christmas together as a family this year, we DO draw the line somewhere!).

Congratulations to Yoomi and Ryan! It was a perfect day for the perfect couple! We wish you two the very, very best on your journey towards happily ever after. We are SOO SOO stoked for 2012! We can hardly contain ourselves!!!
